CytoPacq are committed to providing a safe and secure website. To help ensure a rewarding online experience for all visitors, we provide this summary of our personal data practices. This privacy notice governs the collection and use of personal data by
CytoPacq.
As we continue to offer our visitors new and different types of content and services, we may modify our practices from time to time. However, we will treat all the personal data we collect in accordance with the privacy notice in effect at the time the personal data has been collected.
I. Personal Data We Collect
During a simulation process, we collect (i) user IP address and (ii) starting and stopping time stamp of conducted simulation. Declared data are used to detect and avert malicious and abusive usage of the
CytoPacq web service and their processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the operators of
CytoPacq. Additionally, we collect (iii) user e-mail address which is used to notify the user of a completed long-lasting simulation.
For registered users we also collect (i) name, (ii) surname, (iii) institution, (iv) registration date, and (v) date of last login. Declared data are used to enable the user access to the history of previous simulations and their processing is based on the consent to the processing given by the data subject. As the
CytoPacq web service is a result of a scientific project, the data are also used for reporting the usage of this service.
II. How We Use and Secure the Personal Data
We use the personal data for our internal purposes (for the realization of the website and to improve the design and content of our site and to improve the visitors' experience on
CytoPacq) as well as for the reasons stated above. We never sell, rent, or otherwise share our visitors' personal data with third parties. We may also aggregate personal data to analyze the usage of our site.
User ID, time stamps, and generated data for each simulation process are deleted after one year of their creation. We preserve user registration data for five years since last time they have logged in. We reserve the right to delete generated data with excessive disk space usage.
We will disclose the personal data we maintain as required by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We may also disclose such personal data in response to a specific law enforcement agency's request.
We will not use or transfer personal data in ways that are materially different from the ones described above without also obtaining consent for any materially different uses.
III. Cookies
CytoPacq does not use a software technology called "cookies".
IV. Data Subjects’ Rights
As the data subject, you have some specific rights to these personal data within the meaning of adequate legislation. You have (i) the right to obtain the confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, (ii) the right of access to the personal data and other information (consisting of the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned etc.). You have also (iii) the right to rectification, (iv) the right “to be forgotten”, (v) the right to the restriction of processing, (vi) the right to data portability and (vii) the right to object concerning your personal data and their processing.
