Object Tracking

Tracking of diverse motile targets, such as cells, their protrusions, or intracellular particles, is of immense importance in biomedical research. In this research, massive amounts of multidimensional image data acquired using fully automated optical microscopes make manual analyses highly error-prone and extremely laborious, calling for reproducible and reliable image analysis methods for automatic quantification of the images.

We follow the recent developments in the field and try to advance it by not only developing mathematically well-founded approaches to object tracking, but also by standardizing the ways of assessing tracking performance. Our recent contributions in this respect are as follows:
